In my six years as a training professional, I’ve never met anyone as passionate about learning as Josh Cramer. His love of learning theory and his deep compassion for people is utterly unique. His genuine humility seems out of place for someone so well read, but you can’t work with Josh without wanting to be like him, and at the same time, feeling like a better version - the best version - of yourself. I sincerely envy the next team Josh works with. It’s been a privilege to work with Josh in the past, and it’s a privilege I hope to have again in the future.
I hired Josh as an Instructional Designer / Regional Trainer at Check Into Cash. His background as an instructor and English writing skills, made him an excellent fit. Over the 4 plus years I worked with Josh, his passion for leadership training was evident. He led the charge to help develop and build a comprehensive leadership course for both our District Managers and Center Managers. Josh is also very process driven. This meant building out our processes for development of content was very natural and helped the team be consistent in approach. Josh has the skills for stand up training, as well as elearning design and development. He is a life long learner, constantly challenging not only himself, but others to be better. I would highly recommend him for any training role where you are looking for versatility, passion and leadership.
I am passionate about making my learners’ experience as good as it can be. My philosophy is simple: ask questions, recommend learning (and non-learning) solutions to solve the problem, and measure the success of any learning solution.
I work to incorporate foundational learning science frameworks such as the eLearning Manifesto and adult learning principles. I believe training content should engage learners by inspiring them, teaching them, letting them practice, providing feedback, and finding ways to let them share. (“Tell me, Show me, Let me try”)
Ultimately, I lead with the intent to replace myself by continuing to learn, empowering my team, collaborating across the company, developing practical training programs, and designing learning opportunities with the end in mind.
